Well...
I hope I dun right.
I just got finished "glass bedding" my project 6mm rifle.
It sounds easy but a ton of "Prep" work first. Degreasing, Drying, ruffing up the composite stock, I put pins through the bedding area to make a Mechanical bond, Three coats of releasing agent ( 20 minutes between coats), Tape the stock , Modeling clay to fill in any voids and keep the "glass" out of the wrong pleases, bla, bla, bla. I hate prep work. Anyway I hope I didn't just glue my reserve to my stock, I'll know in the morning...
It's hot !
Should set fast.

What did you use as your bedding compound?

Lol hope it turns out! There's just something about bedding that scares me! I have attempted most things evolving firearms but there is just something about glass bedding that scares me. I have 7-8 guns that need it.

I remember my first one many years ago-used Vaseline for a release agent. Let it dry until next day, not sure if it would ever separate. It did! Makes you wonder, lol....

After bedding several, it still makes me nervous until the action pops out of the stock. No lover of prep work here, either, and have fun getting that clay out and off of everything!

I have bedded two rifles myself, one with a wood stock, the other synthetic. I chose Marine Tex as the bedding compound and Turtle Wax paste wax as the release agent. I use a method that employs stock makers screws in the action, also coated with Turtle Wax, to pillar bed and bed the action in a two step process. I bed the action on the first night, on the second night I pour the pillars and bed the floor plate. I take the action out of the stock before the second session and reapply the Turtle Wax to the stock makers screws, action and floor plate. It worked great on both of my rifles. Kyle

Don't know yet. I haven't fired a shell in the gun yet, ever? Still working on it as $$$ comes available, which seems less and less now, Hummm... Still needs ejector work and for what ever reason It wont chamber a 6mm rem shell. I have not tried " factory stuff" but resized with a bullet in no powder or primer , just can't get the bolt closed.??..??

The first time is the hardest to do. you get better the more you do and see what you can do better. you may need to check to make sure you have the wright 6mm round. if it a new gun to you.are check with go, no go gage
