A friend sent me this from Northern Pa. I told him they're less expensive ways to get a bear! His vehicle was totaled: And so was the black bear! Have a great day! Dave

Dave... That's one way to get a bear, although costly. Two years ago I did the same, only on a buck that jumped off a bank on my hood. Zen

Everyone in the vehicle was fine, save a few loose teeth, and burns from the air bag. Over the years I've hit one deer, despite the high populations that were once found in Potter Co. Pa.
Came darn close to hitting two bears--they're really tough to see at night---black roads and black bears. My friend is getting a visit today from the insurance company. So, I'm hoping everything turns out alright. From the photo it looks like one big sow, hate to see them hit on the road, and so does he and his wife, but, I don't think he had too much sympathy for the bear this time.
Of course he hunts them and has taken only one in his life time. Have a great day! Dave
