I want to make the cost for the shoot as fair as possible, That's why I wanted some input from you guys, However I'm getting suggestions from $25.00 to $200.00. I am the one that has to come to a final decision for this to all be possible and feasible for me. I'm going to brake it up into three options, this way each guy can pick the one that works best for him.
Option #1 Entry fee for the shoot only $75.00 Option #2 Entry fee for the shoot and access to the farm and range all weekend, Friday through Sunday. $100.00 Option #3 Add the pig roast to either option #1 or #2 $25.00 per person. If I can't get enough eaters then I will eliminate the pig roast and just do something easier (hamburgers and hot dogs)
The actual shoot will be on Saturday August 16th starting at 8am and going until we have all finished shooting the event or we run out of daylight. Which ever comes first. Please remember this is a first time shoot and the success or failure will depend on the participation I get from you.

Hello all..
I spent most of the day today with my girl friend, my brother and two of my good friends clearing the field where I plan on having the Kentucky Challenge. We started at 8:00 am and worked till 4:00. We stopped once to eat a few sandwiches and then back to work... The field where we worked is one of my old tobacco fields that is about 75 yards wide and it was 200 yards long.. When we finished today it was 325 yards long and I think I can get another 50 yards or so with a little more work.. The field has a thick bed of grass and we mowed it also... In the next couple weeks I will build at least two concrete shooting benches and get more prepared for the shoot on August 16, 2014. I also have the AR 500 plate steel for the 25 gongs we will be shooting... Just wanted to remind you all about the shoot. We will have a lot of fun and do try to attend if you can... I plan on making this an annual event and hope that it will grow each year... I have four paid shooters, three committed, and several interested, not to mention three or four people I know that will be shooting... For more info PM me or send me an email.. Thanks... Jeff.

Only 325 yard shots? Why not call it the "Distance-challenged Kentucky Wuss-o-rama". Actually, a first shot long-distance competition is the only one I would have a chance of winning since luck would play a big part. Believe it or not, I will actually try to come. I might get a trophy for traveling the longest distance to the party. I'd love to meet Myers129 and of course my best friend -- Fishhawk.

Southern Moose Hunters: Two hunters from the South named Jeff and Hillbill, hired a pilot to fly them into the Canadian wilderness, where they managed to bag two big Bull Moose. As they were loading the plane to return, the pilot said the plane could take only the hunters, their gear and one Moose. The hunters objected, saying, "Last year we shot two, and the pilot let us take them both...and he had exactly the same airplane as yours." Reluctantly the pilot, not wanting to be outdone by another bush pilot, gave in and everything was loaded. However, even under full power, the little plane couldn't handle the load, and went down, crashing in the wooded wilderness. Somehow, surrounded by the moose, clothing and sleeping bags, Jeff and Hillbill had survived the crash. After climbing out of the wreckage, Jeff asked Hillbill, "Any idea where we are?" Hillbill replied, "I think we're pretty close to where we crashed last year."

He's a darned attorney, the only time he stands up is to argue. Heck, he hasn't even mustered up the energy to clean his boat trailer wheels.

Guys who tell funny stories like the above are usually not that funny. I copied that joke from my brother. It is supposed to be a polish joke, but I thought Fishhawk was a pole. I must admit Fishhawk does a decent and timely job of making tungsten bushings

A Lawyer with a sense of humor? Heck Phil is the only guy I ever heard of hunting Herford cows legally with an elephant gun so anything can happen; Right?
Maybe this year we will stay in camp a few extra days and eat one of the moose?

I think that would be a blast to shoot then shoot the hit-shay. We would need a place to cruise afterward -- hopefully where we don't have to drive after. Jeff can give us an itinerary and suggest places to stay (or pitch tents).

Pitch tents........ That's the only way to go... No one needs to drive after a long day of shooting and listening to a lawyer tell jokes... Plenty of room for everyone...

Still havent decided if I'll make it, its up in the air. Maybe if I have my .40 cal firing on all cyliders by then, I'll see if I can drag Dave W. along for the weekend, sounding like it may be a good time. Maybe we can even convince Omega to make the trip to West Virginia and carpool from there.
