Purchased they are usually a deal and I use them on my rimfires without prejudice. SML is a scope eating hobby if ya try to go with less sturdy scopes. I've had my slug guns & MLIIs eat scopes. I've also droped guns and fallen on guns and killed scopes. They all go back to the mfg or marketer for warranty coverage or service and are usually "replaced" but some were refurbished and I have used them without hesitation if they were good and sturdy to begin. If they were "eaten scopes" then they go to a less stressful environment whether replaced or refurbished. $.02 10 ga

You have to watch the warranty. Nikon refurbs IIRC only carry a 90 day warranty.

SWFA sells refurbs and dealer demos.I just picked up my second 3.5x10x44 Zeiss Conquest Rapid-Z 600 from them. It is a dealer demo with a full Zeiss warranty for several hundred less than new.All Zeiss wether dealer demo or refurb carry the full warranty.

Hey Rick hows is that Rapid Z 600 reticle working out with the new 358 Just Hunt 1.8 rifle? Had a chance to shoot it at distance to see how the lines match up? I just ordered the same scope off Ebay for my Rem 700 358.

IMO ,Buy any used Leupold. They are a bargain, Send it back to the factory and they will make it right.
