I bought this scope for one of my muzzleloaders. This is a new version of the elite 3200 scope. The optics are very sharp . Good field of view and nice eye relief at 3.6 inches. I like the side focus and the short target knobs. There 1/4 inch. also you get 0-15 on one turn not 12 like some scopes. Bushnell is giving a very good money back guarantee on this scope.
It also comes with a short sun shade and nice scope caps. I doubt if I'll use the shade. The duplex is just about right for early morning and late evening hunting conditions.
The side focus knob is marked off in different yardages they are marked for a person with 20/20 vision. that lets me out! After I turn the fast focus eye piece to sharpen the cross hair it changes the parallax settings. that's typical of any scope. Time will tell how well it holds up under heavy loads from a MZ. Optics planet has these for $249.00 after the $50.00 instant rebate. I want to compare this scope to my Leopold's at dawn and dusk. This HD coating is supposed to really work under those conditions.

Just a quick follow up. Compared new Legend Ultra HD to my Leupold 3.5x10 V111 at dusk. The Leupold gave up before the Legend. What was really surprising was the morning test. Looking at the sunrise through a group of trees this morning the Legend was clear and sharp no scattered light from the sun. You could have looked directly at the sun. Not a good idea! The Leupold really suffered on this test. The sight picture was yellow and you could not even get close to the same aiming point as you could with the Legend. I also tested two old Bushnell Scope Chiefs which tested very good in morning sunrise. I tested a old world class Tasco which always seemed pretty good. It really failed this test. And old Redfield 3x9 which fell in behind the Leupold.
The real test will come today. When I sight the gun in and feed it some heavy loads. This could make a very good scope for someone. I believe Bushnell did their home work on this one.
Todays optics and coating are so much better than what we had years ago and the price to produce these coatings keeps dropping. Unfortunately China will be the major producer of most of these scopes.

Thanks for the write up. I have been watching for reviews on these closely and have not found a negative one yet.

I looked thru and compared the new Bushnell scopes against everything Cabela's had a while back as well, I thought the same thing. For the money I thought they were amazing to look thru compared to a lot of other scopes. Even much higher cost scopes didn't look near as clear or bright to me. If they can hold up to recoil and keep their zero I think they are a winner for the price. They seemed like they would be a really solid hunting scope and you're info seems to back that up. (Keep in mind my eyes aren't that great anymore and I really, really hate spending $300 or more for a scope, so any time a decent scope shows up for under $300, I'm really partial to it. I've piled up quite a few deer with a $120 Simmons Aetec on my slugger and I wouldn't take it off that gun for any other scope, just me). Nice review and thx for the info...

I mounted this scope on my good Savage 50cal. This gun is dead accurate with 70grs H4198 and 300gr B/O with orange sabot. This morning was very over cast and even had a little mist in the air. I sighted the gun in at 100yrds. with light loads then went to the 70gr load. I have got to saw the optics are truly amazing for the price of this scope. The side focus works very good. The power ring works great and the knurled ring is great for hunting. I fired two shots with my 70gr load both shots cut each other. Then I clicked up 7 moa. and shot a metal swinger at 320yrds. dead on. I then clicked back to 100yrd setting the shot went right into the same group. Then I clicked up 7 moa again fired at the swinger. another hit. I finally clicked back down to the 100yrd zero again bullet went right into the group. Very repeatable! I would be surprised if this doesn't hold up well to recoil!
When returning your scope dials to zero be careful two tiny screws hold the dial in place you only need to loosen the screws enough to turn the dial don't take them off you can loose these real fast. These screws only hold the dial on nothing more. Also don't over tighten them just a snug turn. If you tighten them up the dial will bind. I did this and the dial didn't won't to move up I thought I ran out of elevation. That was not the case just back them off a little. The scope worked very well. I will be buying another one soon for my 7 Mag
I happen to see several turkey's this morning at 320 yrds. on 14 power the images of the feathers really stood out. I have got to say Bushnell got a winner at this price.
