I would like to find something to carry my gear into the field when hunting, vials, bullets, maybe a sandwich....and some other essentials. Saw a really nice on, and asked the guy where he got it, said Gray beard--I did a search and can't find it. Any suggestions? Have a great day! Dave

Thanks guys... I was hoping to find a small leather pouch....I do have a fanny pack, but am always fumbling around looking for my stuff! I do clip on my primer carrier, which works really well. I prefer the gold metal ones over the plastic--feeds primers really easily. Any other suggestions appreciated--those above too! Have a great day! Dave

I have a couple of these. They work really well. You can't fit a sandwich but works very well for all the ML stuff that you need. They even come in camo, but I can't find them on the website. Oh yeah, the price is right as well! www.walmart.com/catalog/product.do?product_id=4875468

dave... I use a "possibles bag"; it's a cheap camo-cloth version of the more expensive leather ones.
It has a shoulder strap with 2 small compartments and a flap. I don't care that it's not waterproof, as I use the plastic vials like Grouse mentioned... so everything (powder, bullets, primers) is in one of them. Only other thing in there is a nipple pick... so prob. could fit a sandwhich in there. ;D
I like to take it off and hang it over a nail when I get to my tree stand... so it's separate from the junk in my fanny pack.

I use a fanny pack. I keep what I carry to a minimum. Had my wife sew in some shell holders and I put my 30-06 brass with powder in them. A couple of cigar tubes holds bullet/sabots. I made some primers holders out of clear plastic tubing and have a short starter and loading jag. For everything else I have a back pack which holds my coffee thermos, camera, binos, and a few other essentials. Since I hunt from a fixed blind everything is hung up where it's handy. I do have a large tackle box with all my shooting supplies and tools but leave that in the vehicle.

Thanks guys: As usual your mighty helpful. Don't know about raf here, I think I might need a tag-along to carry all that stuff! (Kidding of course.) Have a great day! Dave

Dave, my speed loaders come with a clip that allows me to attach them to the outside of my hunting jacket, so thats were I keep my first powder charge, sabot/bullet/primer- reload. As I always hunt with a backpack that is when compressed around 2200CI, I bought a small fleese coverd possables pouch that was designed to and fits well on a BPs hip belt. Mine is large enough to hold 3-6 speed loaders, spair primers in thier priming device, a few patches, a patch and bullet puller, a .50cal bore brush, a rubber like ram rod hand protector, and lens cleaning wipes. It is also devided into several compartments so I can find my speed loaders instantly. I think to hold all this along with some food you will have to go to something as least as large as a fanny pack.
Myself personally would not store food items with my reloads.

I while back, I used to use a range finder holder that has a belt loop. It would hold everything I needed minus a sandwich.

The perfect muzzle loader possibles bag is easily found at one of the second-hand stores like St Vincent De Paul or Good Will. Go look at the purse rack. Yes - ladies purses. Leather, ample size, many little pockets, large strap for over-the-shoulder, and best of all usually the best ones go for <$5. Plenty of room for all of your gear (organized efficently) plus a sandwich

Thanks guys; As always I appreciate the advise! I bought a turkey call pouch, for $9.99. Everything fits that I need to carry....but will also give Goodwill a look see--sometime. Neat idea. I do have plenty of fanny packs and backpacks and day packs, and can use as needed. Art I thought that Peanut butter and jelly was used to lube things, not? (Kidding of course!) Really hope the new Triumph does what it's supposed to, we have groundhogs running all around this area of the state. Can't wait to see what it does on the range and in the field! Have a great day!
