Got out between rain showers to put a few rounds down range out of a new build that I finished up this weekend. Wind was stiff at 15+, but fairly steady. Used 68gr of H4198 w/.060" veggie wad for both groups at 100 yards. 25" Pac-Nor Barrel Murphy SS Base w/Leupold PRW rings Jewell Trigger First group: 250gr Parker BE's Second Group: 275gr Parker MH's. Adjusted scope down. Wind was left to right, so I assume the higher BC of the MH's kept them left of the BE's.

If Axiom used a more conventional buttstock on that model and made one for the Savage , those would be very cool stocks.

Nice shootin'! What happened to the Zero Kick Rest? Still using it and loving it. Just doesn't work well with the axiom stock.

Nice gun and good shooting. Do you think that Axiom stock would work for a hard-kicking .416?

the axioms work well to tame recoil, some like them and some dont. some think they are ugly but they are very functional. I wouldnt use one if I shot off a bipod as the forend is too flimsey but other wise they do what they are intended for, reduce recoil and easily adjusted lop..

Thanks for the build Luke. I can't wait to shoot it. I hope I find a good shooting load using either IMR SR 4759 or Reloader 7. Still can't find any 4198.
