Hi guys, I've been lurking here since mid December when I bought a ML11. In january I shot a doe during muzzleloader season here in Ohio.

What was your load? Tell the story. If it was smokeless post it in the smokeless success stories. I got my start lurking here too. I am still amazed at all the information here that really helped me out. Welcome to the board.

I used a .458 Hornady 300 gr hollow pt., 63 gr. of Reloader 7, and a black Harvester sabot. Arrowhead Sporting Goods told me to try that load. Shoot into 2 inches at 100 yards. That is as good as I can hold with my old eyes. I shot her at about 50 yards. The bullet took off the top of the heart. the bullet never hit any shoulder bones but did break several ribs. She ran over a bank about 20 to 25 yards. For an old bowhunter the damage inside the chest was impressive. Thanks for asking guys.
