The new Ultimate Slam Muzzleloader will not inter change Breech plugs or bolts with any current Knight Muzzleloaders. That only makes sense to me, and all employee's know this now. Sorry for any confusion.

Grouse... I kinda figured the new breech plug alone would not interchange since it's too long for the current Extreme bolt... but thought the new breech plug plus the new bolt would work.. ? I'm not happy... I have a .50 & new .45 Elite just waiting for the conversion. Knight just lost a nice hunk of $ from me on the conversions. I highly doubt I'll buy the new gun.  |

I hate it when companies do this kind of thing. I call it "Market Stimulation" And in a lot of cases I feel the new product isnt any better than the old one.. And I have found a lot of time's when a new model hits the market...It is best to wait till they get thebug's out of it..Like in the "New and Improved" version...Drop

grouse does this mean that Knight is NOT going to have the Retro Fit Kit's for there older type/style guns, such as the Extreme and Elite and so forth with the New type/style Ultimate Slam Breech Plugs ? And I have found a lot of time's when a new model hits the market...It is best to wait till they get thebug's out of it..Like in the "New and Improved" version...Drop Marlin has been doing this in a big way the last 6-8 years ! Amd since I "accumulate" Marlin's I usually get a new rifle or two each year they bring out something I like ! For instance two years ago I bought a pair of rifles for the then new 308 Marlin Express . One blued and walnut while the other is stainless laminated . And then this year I did the same thing with the 338 Marlin Express about 8 weeks ago ! Do I need them ? NO Do I like playing with them ? YES  |
