My Rem/Pac 45 got one this morning. It was about 7:30 AM. I looked up and there came two pigs walking in out of the thicket. They were coming to a hole i dug with sour corn. My game camera got this just before i shot. I waited until i had a good broad side shot. Then sent the Barnes 195gr pushed by 60grs of H4891 on its way. After the shot all i saw was one run off. But the camera got this. and i took this after i walked over. Talk about DRT he didn't get his head out of the hole. And here is the proud hunter and his dandy Muzzle. Not a big pig but its a pig good eatin. The barnes just broke this pig. The off shoulder was like a rag the inside was jello (heart/lungs). It wasn't a far shot maybe 45 50yds. I hope you enjoyed my little hunt

Sweet! I wish we had pigs here. Selfish I know, as the farmers would hate it, but I'd love to be able to hunt something year round like that.

Didn't stink at all. At lest i never thought so. I killed a pretty good size boar last year and it was very tasty. I bet this young pig will be even better.

River Rat Not any worse than a deer in the smell department They are considerably tougher and a bit greasy to mess with. Harder to cut and harder to hold onto. Antelope and black buck are by far the worse smelling. I suspect its the sage in their diet but when you cut them open you get a gagging reflex. At least I do every time I have cut into them. Here are a couple of boars me and a buddy killed many moons ago in Eastern part of Tn.

I've watched some stuff on Netflix where the hogs are out of control and people are begging people to come down and get rid of them. Their are people who are paid to get rid of these things. Is there any place a person could go to get a couple of these with out having to have an outfitter??

River Rat, I don't know anywhere. Where I'm hunting there just getting started. Last year i got the first pic ever taken (or seen) of a pig on my brothers place. And i killed it a pretty big boar. Then i got this one. I have pics of 3 more.

Bowhunter: What part of Ohio. I hope they do not get close to me. They do alot of damage. I am in the far western part of Ohio about 1/2 way up.

Jims I think your safe from these pigs. But that big boom might have run some that way. So far nothing today and it's getting hot.
