Hello to all. I am new to this forum but an old front loader fan. The past few years I've been using a Remington SS 700ML that my wife bought for me. Took the biggest 10 pointer in my life with that gun and open sights and got a nice doe at 128 yards this past season, after adding a cheap Cabela's scope.
I'd been contemplating adding a 209 conversion and getting some Blackhorn 209 for her when a SS Savage 10ML II came along on Gunbroker. After getting it, I believe that it was actually new unfired! Just ordered my first ever Leopould scope (trying to go first class on this thing for once)
I live on an island off the coast of one of the most anti-gun states in the US. There are no gun stores here and it's a hundred bucks to put my car on the ferry and go shopping. (I know, I choose to live here, but believe me, I am looking.)
I called all of the big mail order suppliers and could not find one who would ship powder, primers or bullets to MA!
Finally found a source in KS and have everything coming.
I joined this site to learn as much as I can about smokless muzzleloading.
Sorry for the long winded first post. Appreciate the freedom you have and do whatever you can to not let your states go the way of this one.

You should move from the P.R. of Mass Hole and move to Maine no such thing as gun restrictions here.

44.........welcome to the forum! I left one of the most anti-gun states in the country..........NJ and move to NC 12 years ago.........WOW, what a difference.
