This is my first try with posting pictures, I still do not have it down but perhaps as time goes on I will get comfortable with it. I wasn't too good on my first landing or parachute jump either. Anyways some photos (not too good, first time with a digital camera also) of the Vias or Vasi detachable muzzlebrake I had installed on my Krieger .38 barrel. The top holes used to line up but between adding the SSS recoil lug and cutting two inches off the breech everything is not in alignment anymore. As the brake is about .05 bigger than the bore I generally remove it when loading as it is too big a "false" muzzle for sabots or saboted. I have some more photos I will try to post to gain a little experience, please bear with me on that as they are Savage ML photos but nothing important. The holes on the muzzle end itself were added later, they are not stock.

;D I shot it enough to bulge the barrel and have to have two inches removed from the breech, it is now a 22 inch barrel. There are better ways to lighten the same. My machinist says there is not enough barrel diameter to make it any shorter.

Your pictures are awesome! BTW,I just got done checking out the meet the members thread, and your ugly mug is not present and accounted for.Now if you are worried about breaking that new camera,go ahead and take pictures of those inanimate objects that wont break it first. Then try to post the post office shot. ;D ;D

;DTo tar12: I may do that AFTER you post yours. Besides there are too many wants and warrants out on me and I do not like to show my photo, the ones in the post office are enough I think. ;D

To dave d: I have "most" of it listed in a nearby posting of it under Richard Microfit Savage Stock. You are asking alot out of me, I do not really know how to use the camera or get them from the camera to photobucket. I have a few on here I will try to transfer. My daughter got me started but she is now gone for the evening so I do n ot know how I will do on my own.

dougedwards: Some of those photos may have been with the Savage barrel and/or before the trouble, I just pulled up some old photos in part from what my daughter put in photobucket some time ago.

Very nice looking set-up. I would be afraid to take it outside because I would be devastated if I scratched such a beautiful gun! ;D

To those that think the wood is too "pretty" to use. I like a nice stock but it is only a carrier for the action/barrel for me. If it gets scratched it does not bother me, I finished the stocks and I can refinish or retouch it up if necessary. A number of my rifles have plastic/fiberglass/graphite stocks and often a second wood stock. Since I sand/finish them myself and often buy a second they are not too expensive. I have been slow to respond today, I burned about 10 acres of tall Prarire CRP grass today and had to fix a hydraulic hose I pulled off my tractor the other day so I am just getting back. Tired but a happy camper.

Looks awesome, any idea how much recoil reduction you got with the brake? I assume only sabotless with brake, or what were the sabot results like?

edge: I do not know the recoil reduction because so far all shots were with a lead sled and at least 50 pounds of shot. I have shot saboted with it only to see it they would catch or be torn up. Don't know on the accuracy issue yet. The plan is to use it only sabotless if I get that up and running. I have two other extensions with no brake on it so I can shoot sabotted with them.
