Well, I had thought about doing this for a while and now it is here. ;D I picked up a Lee .401 die and after a bit of spring back it reduces the Remington .411 210gr SP bullet down to .402". Fairly easy to do with no visible deformation using my arbor press. Next I made a .399 die by drilling some tool steel stock with an "X" drill (.397") and then polished it out to size. Results look great and weather permitting I will see how they shoot in the PacNor a bit later this week. The finished product measures .400" and will need a bit of knurling for perfect fit just like the 200gr XTPs. This should be quite a bit of improvement over the 200gr XTPs. These SP bullets are made for the 41Mag and appear to be quite a bit tougher design. If these work out well later I might just try some Hornady 300gr Interlocks!!
