After speaking with them today. They told me the Muzzleoader will not be on the market until late Summer. It looks like Bass Pro Shops is going to get them first? Atleast they already have an order for them. I hope they get they these out on the market sooner then later.

Bummer that means the conversion kit will be pushed back also. I was really hoping to get one so that I would have some time to work with it before last minute hunting prep.

Yeah... I was really wanting the bolt & breech plug conversion kit from it.. for my Elites'.
As I understand, it drasticly rduces the primer fouling in the breech area. Oh well... maybe the kit will be available in early fall, before hunting season.

Is there anywhere I can see apicture of it? will it be a bolt action design or other? I have tried Knights W/S several times but nothing there about it.

That sucks. I'm not in the market for the gun, but rather the conversion kit as well. I REALLY hope it's available by August.

Great looking rifle, but I'm afraid that it will be a little to rich for my blood. I'm only speculating here, but my best guess is price tag in the neighborhood of $700-$750. For that kind of wampum I would simply opt out for a T-hole 10ML-II for less money, or buy a 10ML-II used and re-barrel it in 45cal.
Still a super ML in its own rite that I'm sure is designed to compete with the Encore as top dog of the non-smokeless MLs.
Thank you for posting the link. On the bright side next year in 2010 when everyone is trying to unload their old Knight disc rifles to buy the new Knight, I might get lucky and score a great deel on one of the used Disc rifles.

Not sure where I heard this... maybe from Grouse, but this new Knight was supposed to start at $500 for stainless ? I hope Grouse will chime in on this.

I was on the phone with Knight from Centerville, Iowa the other day and was told no conversion kit will not be available for our Extremes and/or Elites. The only conversion kit available will be the one we now use. It was explained to me that the receiver on the US is machined to tighter tolerances to make the bolt/primer/breech plug more accurate. So the new bolt will not be interchanging with the older guns. I called then called their NEW location and talked to tech support and was told the same thing. I hope I was given wrong info on this, as I too was looking for the conversion for my own rifles. Can anyone else confirm this?

I believe that this is the same information that Grouse received from Knight and reported under his thread "A Big Misunderstanding at Knight." This is disappointing. But, I have to believe that Knight could make some kind of better conversion for their current and past models if they believed that the demand was there.

Unfortunately Knight is probably more interested in selling new rifles rather than conversion kits to make the new rifle unnecessary. From a marketing standpoint conversion kits to upgrade old rifles to the new standard just does not make sense.

That only makes good sence. No company would bring out something that would hurt the sales of there newest product. But like me most of us understood it that there would be Conversion Retro-Fit kits.Where are how this Rumor got it's start.is beyound me.But WRONG stuff like this ought to nerver get started. The true facts should be gotten first Unfortunately Knight is probably more interested in selling new rifles rather than conversion kits to make the new rifle unnecessary.
