Lived in Bar Harbor for a couple of years.......about 40 years ago! Dad was a National Park ranger stationed there. Was one of the best National Parks I had the joy of growing up in. Need to get back one day.

muznut...If you are sick of the cold ,like deer hunting,enjoy shooting, and like swapping stories with great laid back folks North Carolina is the place to go.

mznut..............I hunted four years up in Maine............Twice in Patton on the edge of Baxter State Forest, Rangely and Ellsworth. One of my partners on the police department retired to Milo. (we were in NJ). I moved to NC. Welcome aboard. Richard

Jray I hike Acadia every summer I don't do the rock climbing or the real steep stuff but I can get up to some high cliffs and look out over the big pond, I swear I can see England some days lol but I love just sitting there and pondering the creator and my place in the world. Richard my ancestors are from central Maine and it sounds like we hunted some of the same ground and if you ever hunted around the green and branch lake area what did you think of the boulders? some are as big as houses.
