My gun seems to like to like 60 gr of N120 and 300-325 gr bullets. I only have a little over one pound left and might need to save it for hunting season. I would like to play around a little 57-62 grain and maybe even try some 275 gr bullets. I see Midway USA still has it in one-pound containers but it looks like most everybody else it out. If I decide this to be my powder of choice I would like to get 8lbs and not have to worry about being able to find it. I don’t want to buy 8bls pounds right now but if I new it would be available a couple of months from now I would go ahead and shoot up what I have now. I have R7, and 4198 so I could play with those and save my N120. Anyone hear anything about the availability of N120? Seem like it is getting hard to find again.

bowbender,
I've still got that new 1 lb jug sitting on my shelf. Next time I'm in the area I'll let you know.

Thanks Chris - I don't need it right away - I think we are thinking alike, we like N120 but don't want to have to hunt for it every year. Sounds like you my be going to a .45 someday. My .50 shoots good but the .45's I have shoot real well with blackhorn and not nearly the recoil. I just don't want to put out the money for a new barrel ye when this one shoots so good. I'll let you and the guys work all the bugs out of the .45'S and save my N120.

Tim,
Have you tried H4198 in your 50 with the BO/HBCR combo? I actually prefer 67g of H4198 over N120. 100 fps faster in my gun, flatter trajectory, just as (if not more) accurate, and the best part is that you can find it just about any where.

Not sure - I have a jar of H4198 and I-4198 so I will try it. I shot a lot of R7 last year before I tried N120. Thanks I will have to give 4198 a try. Any down sides?

67g of H4198 @ 2400 fps kicks a little more than 60g of N120 @ 2300 fps. Other than that I would say no. On your lead slead you probably won't notice a difference though.
