Even though I am not into heavier bullets as a rule I enjoyed seeing your results posted. Looks like you are getting those groups to shrink nicely. No problem on tagging deer or larger animal for that matter with what you have right now. Thanks for taking the time to share results.

Nice shooting. Did you swab between shots? The 325 FTX looks promising. Steve

bowbender6,
What primer did you use? Great shooting. The only thing that needs to be answered now is the 325 as tough as the BO. As they can be shoot equally with accuracy.

Bowbender, looks great! I think you may have found a hunting load. I would not be worried in the least about the bullet holding up. The 300 SSTs work fine and I am sure these will also. Great shooting!

No swabing - Fed209A - This load will work for everything I am hunting ( even elephants). I would like to find something a little milder and faster but that seems to be mostly with the .45 refits and this barrel shoots to good to refit

bowbender6,from a long range perpective, regarding the 325ftx,any chance you could lob a group @ 400yds to see how they group out there on a decent wind day?

I am not sure about 400 but 300 might be doable. i have a lane along the field I could set a target. I might try to see how these group with 4198 first.
