Looks sweet. I do like the looks of those blued ones in laminate stocks. I don't know when the wind will stop but I'd at least "function" test it in the mean time.

I'm glad you like it Tim. I was impressed with the blueing that McGowen did on the barrel. They will do polished and matte blue. I sent them a chrome moly Callahan lug that was "in the white" to blue with the barrel. If I do any blued guns in the future I will likely send the action to be re-blued with the barrel and lug for a perfect match.

Well here's the first 4 shots out of the gun at 100 yards. I "suedo" adjusted it first by removing the bolt and plug and looking down the barrel and adjusting the scope at about 40 yards. The Super Slam Scope is very nice. Here's the next 3 shots. I was aiming dead center but adjusting to 3" high at 100. That's the upper square box. The clicks on the Super Slam were almost spot on. Notice shots 6 and 7 were just 1 click down on the Weaver. I'll shoot more tomorrow and sight in with SST's. All shots here were Hornady XTP's with 62 grains of H4198. Still windy, snowing lightly and really cold.

Well, here's the first 4 Hornady 40 cal SST's down the barrel. Pretty good group, just a bit left of the XTP's. I shot a 4 shot group then moved the scope 3 clicks Right. Next shot was almost on top of shot 7 from yesterday, right where I wanted it. I moved the sight one click down and called it a day. Twenty two degrees out, no wind today.

A little windy today, but I wanted to check the drop/rise of the SST at 50 then 200 yards. Here's both shots. Looks like a 4" drop from 100 to 200. Gun is still shooting great!

I'll also post this in where it should be, but here's the first shot I took at a deer; 238 yards. Man does this thing shoot. I'm pointing to the hole. I changed out of my camo and into my cleaning garb, I don't hunt with that on!

Yep, it was the SST's. Full pass through. Small finger size hole on the entry and about 1.5" on the exit. The doe didn't move at first, then walked slowly about 10 yards and just fell over.
