I have a Rem 700 ml and for the time being want to keep the factory barrel and just use black powder or subs. It has a Canadian 209 conversion kit. I want to set it up with a conversion that will eliminate the blow by and keep the bolt clean so I don't have to disassemble the bolt every time I shoot the gun. What would the best conversion be to eliminate blow by and still use the factory barrel? What parts would I need? Who can do this conversion?

Check with Hunter for one Mountainman for another they both have conversions that work well depending what you want?

Yes. Mountainman uses a 32 cartridge I believe, Hunter's BH209 kit uses 209, both come with a BP.

I've been doing a few Hunters "smoker" conversions, in which the bolt modification is nearly identical to the smokeless bolt only .085" shorter. The "smoker" kit also comes with a breechplug that replaces the factory one. It works great! I have also done bolts for those that think they will eventually go smokeless. In that case I install the smokeless nose kit and remove .085" from the sealing surface of the breechplug, and remove .085" of the thread on the plug as well. It will work just like the smoker kit, but the bolt is smokeless ready for the future.
