Anyone have any inside info on what all is to come for the 2012 archery line up? HCA, Bowtech, PSE, Darton, G5?? You know something other than Mathews and Hoyt. Already seen their line ups. What else is coming??? Thanks

Darton is coming out with a speedster I am told and Bowtech is keeping everything a big secret. You can bet that all the big companies will be coming out with something new and the trade show is coming up in a few weeks and revolutionary designs and modifications will be revealed there. Effective compound bows sales is dependent on the "new and improved" to excite the buyer. It seems that some of the improvements are very minor but the advertisements will be dramatic. Such is the business of selling $800-$1600 compound bows in this country.

Thanks and I completely agree. Tho I am one of the suckers who are always anxious to see what's new. Should just stick with what I have but suffer from the illness that I always want something new.

Pretty anxious to see high country get going again and see what they bring out, also intrigued to see the elites, strothers, G5's, Winchester and Dartons, etc. the stuff you don't see and hear about all the time.

I also would like to see a resurgence of High Country bows as they used to be considered top of the line compound bows back in the 90's but somehow slipped from the radar at the turn of the century. The new Strother bows are supposed to be really sweet and G5 has been producing some nice stuff as of late also. Darton has been making some of the best stuff out there but they don't advertise much. Elite is building a reputation of late to shake up the big four (Hoyt, Mathews, Bowtech, PSE) into moving over to be considered the big five. New Breed Archery is another company that has only been around for a few years but making great headway into the market. All the new stuff will be revealed at the ATA show in January but only dealers and retailers can attend.
I presently have a Darton, a Hoyt, a Mission, a New Breed and a Diamond (Bowtech) and really don't need another but I am always looking.....LOL It's a good thing that an old man can still get excited about something ;D

I'm really leaning towards a new Darton, shot them years ago and have always liked them, but presently have no dealers close enough to go check em out, but same can be said for High Country, I really liked them too. Currently shooting a BT Destroyer 340 but am anxiously awaiting the new bows.

Currently shooting a BT Destroyer 340 but am anxiously awaiting the new bows. You are shooting a mighty fine bow now if you can handle the short brace height. I think the new Strother Wrath looks good with a IBO speed of 328 fps and a 8" brace height and 32" ATA. If you wanted a good target bow the Strother Moxie at 37 1/2" ATA and 7 3/8" brace with 331 fps IBO speed. Those short bows with the 6" brace height worry me as far as torque that could be applied to them twisting around in a tree stand not to mention arm slap while wearing a coat. But they are fast and it seems that is the way the trend is going. My budget won't allow for me to purchase a new bow this year but I can look all I want. ;D Doug

Yeah I really like the Destroyer, it is my first BowTech and I have no complaints, just always fascinated by the "new" stuff as well, love to look. Think I'm going to finally drop to a 60lb bow next time around and something 32" ata or less. Like speed and don't mind the brace height being short, just wanna go lighter draw, lighter, shorter bow to accommodate my getting older. Lol, can't wait to see what comes out.

I am presently shooting a strother infinity and Im looking forward to the new models as well. I still have a bowtech guardian that I will always think highly of. not many out to date that are better than it,,
my buddy just got a new elite answer that he really likes, I like the way it feels but have yet to shoot it.
high country is just down the road a few miles from where i live and while Nathan Land has designed some good bows of late there is nothing that really grabs me and says "shoot me"
I will agree on the short brace bows, I just will never find myself up a tree with one..
one of the most impressive bows out there is the bear carnage and their new model. these bows are probably the best all around one cam bows out there, just mho of course....
