here is my contribution to safer streets and lower insurance rates for drivers Taken with Savage MLII Vitavori N110 44 Gr 250 XTP in Humpreys County Tn on my property. Rattled and called him in. He was working a logging road tending scrapes and I diverted him away from his destination. I started to take him at 100 yards through the woods but knew it was a bit risky. Too many variables. Waited for him to sneak in on me and got to 30 yards and basically found a clear spot ahead of where he was walking and waited for him to come into the crosshairs. I think some of you may call that ambushing. Anyways when the crosshairs filled with hairs I pulled the trigger. He dropped and folded like a rock.

Thanks guys. I am pretty proud of it. Its my biggest Tn deer ever. Ive killed some 12 point and 16 point deer here on my property in Waverly but they have not had the mass or rack that this one does. This was killed last Friday. The deer are in pre rut. Very curious and making scrapes. 2 weeks ago the bucks were still running together. The does this past weekend still had their fawns with them. I am betting this weekend they will be in rut with this colder weather coming in. I expect it to be a busy productive weekend.

Ed, Congrats on a very nice buck! Here in SE Arkansas, the bucks were chasing does pretty hard last weekend. The 11 point I tagged was hard after a doe, even though he had a back leg broken just above the knee! It wasn't slowing him down at all! Boarhog
