It has been a long time since I have read anything about this procedure so I decided for the newer members I would describe it. If a rifle is accurate and the scope works correctly you can aim at the target, fire one shot, then move the scope ten clicks up and fire a second shot. Next move the scope ten clicks right and fire a third shot. Now move the scope ten clicks down and fire again. Finally, move the scope ten clicks left and fire a final shot. If the bullet holes form a square and the final shot is where the first shot hit your rife and scope are good to go. This test determines if the scope actually moves in the correct direction when you make the adjustments. It always gave me confidence when this test makes a good square and the first and last bullets are together. Many scopes don't meet this test. I like to do this at 100 yards. Ozark
