Going to hunt Tenn. for 1st time Land between The Lakes area. Which unit would be best for first time hunting Tenn. We will be staying in a popup camper so any suggestions about campground would also help.

We decided to stay at piney camground near dover tn. Would like suggestions as to hunting this area, 2 guys deer hunting and 2 guys hunting small game and fishing. Any advice on this area would be appreceiated.

All of the area is very similar. It is up to you if you want to hunt fields, ridges or water front. You can have a chance at a good buck on any area. Get google earth and look at a birds eye view of the area before you go. I have hunted on almost all of the areas and I have a favorite stand on almost all of them. You can hunt close or go deep on the trail that goes through the whole length of LBL. ;D

I plan on trying LBL this year also. Haven't been able to get an area at Fort Campbell in 3 weeks
