I just finished building this gun and started shooting it. It likes non-discarding sabots like Lightfields and Buckhammers. Does anybody have luck loading Slugs R Us 12ga SPW with 400--500gr bullets? Any load recommendations. Thanks Keith Attachments:

It is a Savage 210 I bought a couple years ago and never did anything with due to deployments. I finally ordered a McMillan stock for it and a Rifle Basix trigger. I did the final inletting (due to trigger), cut pillars, bought an aluminum trigger guard and full length bedded with Devcon. The action was improperly drilled and tapped so the holes were re-done with center cutting end-mill to 8x48. I then shimmed and Devcon bedded the Talley LW bases to the receiver, lapped them, and mounted a Leupold VariX-III 3.5-10x40mm I had on hand.
Cabelas was having an ammo sale so I bought every brand of slug I though would shoot out of a 1-35" barrel to get a base line. Turned out to be Lightfield Hybrid EXP and Remington Buckhammer so I'm trying to load Slug'R'Us SPW and trying some full bore conicals a guy cast for me.
Originally, I was going to rebarrel it using an acquaintance's SAAMI min reamer but right now I can't justify it. It shoots too good.

I have a 210 with a custom stainless barrel about 90% done, plan to bed it in a B/C stock that took a bit of work to allow room for that recoil lug on the 210.
Where you getting your full bore slugs from? Always looking for a bear hammer.

I bet the B&C was a project. What barrel did you use?
I can point you to two sources for slugs. One is for hard cast solids and one is for turned brass solids. Let me know which you want and I'll e-mail you.

Back in the day, I had high hopes for those grey BPI sabots, never followed the new blue ones to see if they were better.
