How are you lubing, and what are you guys using for bullet lube before sizing?
Currently I'm using Alox lube and smearing it on the bullet with my fingers, but I'm looking for a way to lube at a quicker pace.
Thought about getting a block of beeswax and rolling the bullet across like the case lube pad from RCBS but not sure how well that would work. Thanks.

Dave, I use a piece of terry towel and I sprayed it with Rust Check then I roll the bullet to get a good coating on it and voila good to go.

Dave, I lay mine out on an old piece of flannel cut from a worn out shirt and then spray them with 100% pure silicone mold release spray. I then use the rag to wipe my guns down because it gets saturated with the silicone. I ordered a case of this stuff a couple of years ago for about $2 a can, but it looks like it has gone up (what hasn't)! www.aerosolstore.com/insta-slick-dry-silicone-lubricant-and-mold-release-spray.html

I use the lube supplied with the Lee die; put it sparingly on my RCBS lube pad and roll six bullets at a time.

Great question!
What you use matters less than that you use something...even cooking oil! If you don't lube you will buildup copper on the die and copper on copper will lead to major problems with jacket integrity, and make sizing inconsistent and much harder.

Not sure how this would work but it sure works on most everything else. I use it to spray the rail on my crossbow. It is available at Walmart. www.jigaloo.com/us/e_home.php

I wounder how some of the spray case lube that does not affect powder would work. May still have to be cleaned off so the sabot gets a good grip on bullet.

I have tried all of the above, I find I like Silicote reel lube best. Use very little, After 5 or 6 bullets, I clean the die.

The first thing I will try is plain dish soap for copper. We use soap to deep draw complicated shapes at work that are made out of copper. The clean up would be very easy. Try it and see! Rex
