Does anyone know the difference between the savage 10ml and 10ml 2 ? Back in 2005 i bought a 10ml 2 for my father-in-law and this week i bought a used 10ml for myself.I never really looked closely at father-in-laws but if i remember correctly my bolt and breech are different. Does 10ml 2 take modules also? I do know niether of these have the accutrigger. A friend of mine has a 10ml that takes modules also but has different vent liners. mine are like flat head allen screws his are like set screws anyone know why ? thanks.

The ML-1 can be converted back to a centerfire rifle as it is a Model 10 action with a large shank and it uses modules.
ML-2 does not use modules and cannot be converted to a center-fire.
Flat head vent liner uses a larger Allen wrench which makes it easier to get the vent liner out and prevents most carbon from getting into the threads.
They are the same thread and I would use the flat head version on both rifles. You might want to take a 82 degree countersink to make a nice fit for the flat head screw.
