I had one for about 4 seasons but have since sold it to a friend, due to high price of slugs. I did kill several deer with it, and so has he. Very good shooter with Hornady SST's. A solid 150 yd gun, 200 yd was so-so. Highly recommended by both of us for sure. No complaints.
I had the 20 ga Encore Pro Hunter version, SS and fluted. It shot really good with the Win. Supreme and Gold and with Lightfields. It was fussy about being clean, every 5 shots cleaning, or accuracy went away. Recoil is not light and it isn't anywhere near as accurate as my MLII turned out. That and the COST of good sabot slugs ($20+ for 5 pack, thats $4 per) and I traded it off for a .308 Win. (I can hand load good ammo for less than $1.50 per) Encore barrel, in case I ever get to CO for an elk hunt. One of my hunting buddies had a regular blue version 20 ga Encore and it shot real good, for 2 shots, then it was off with a hot barrel. Had to wait 30+ min. between shots to keep barrel cool. Really irritating and he traded his off too. My $.02 10 ga

I bought one 2 years ago.......ss fluted pro hunter..........shot a lot of slugs through it . it likes the winchester platinum series the best..1 ragged hole at 50 yds.never took it hunting. To be honest it isnt any better of a shooter than my 20ga. h&r ultra slugger. It shoots 1" groups if I do my part 100yds. And you dont have to re-sight it in every time you swap barrels. A blue one is about 250ish. But I have WAYYYY to many slug slingers. Drop
