Uncle Eugene, "Jake The Woodsman", was great, no doubt. But let it be said that you, Daddy, "Bob," breathed the very life into his character and hence, rendered him Immortal.
Through your love of nature, fervor for life, a gift for eloquently putting pen to paper, and the love for your family coupled with a constant positive attitude, his life will go on.
In keeping with Uncle Eugene's way of life, he will, even in death, give back to the land and river that he so cherished and in essence, pass the torch to any who will accept the responsibility of preservation, beautification, and never-ending love the the woodlands that offered shelter, excitement, adventure, and sheer pleasure.
Your genuine interest and vast love for humanity and nature alike is quickly recognized by the manner in which you live your life.
Buffalo River will soon find itself with a new spring, a new zeal, a new lure, a new sparkle of life.
Rest in your new, abounding life, Jake. We love you and we will feel your presence alongside the winding river and see your smile and feel your peace in the bluffs which embrace it. ♥
