I might try to go over and get a picture of the deer if it is still over at district HQ,
I wonder if Redneckrob knows him?
Of course if you knew where the monster was and didn't want someone else to get him, poach him early.
Of course down there in the hills in SE Ohio back up in the hollows when times are tough. If they run out of meat they just shoot another deer, regardless of what time of year it is if that is what they have to do to feed their families. They are saying now that there is a problem with people shooting squirrels in town to eat. All the tree huggers are whining about that.

if a person needs it to eat, i dont have a problem!!! Pa has a red tag for farmers any one can use (with land owners permission i think) most of the year. i think there is 3 months in the summer you cant use and that is it. it is to help farmers with crop damage and it is doe only but if you need meat who cares. I knoe of some one that came back from service in the military over seas and was reported KIA and has no income and had to do that to eat but he was shooting racoons, oppossoms and thing like that too to eat. family friends went and shot him some deer with their doe tags had it butchered and gave it to him and his family!!

Very true, feeding a family is one thing but this guy also had 10 prior violations so it makes you wonder. If it was to feed a family is one thing but to be shooting just for horns (which I know for a fact happens). One person told me he had heard the guy was trying to sell the mount to Cabela's or Bass Pro Shops and was "working the deal" to get big bucks. The biggest poacher I knew bagged at least 2 deer a week, year round, in the late 60s-early 70s. Never really caught him red handed. I know of one local guy doing the "bag the deer in Ohio and telecheck in Kentucky". If he gets caught I ain't bailing him out! If they ever start looking at caller ID and cell phone location he could be burned. I did find more articles that is hopefully more accurate then the hearsay I've been getting, at least it is national news, and has photos, sports.espn.go.com/outdoors/hunting/news/story?id=5189119www.local12.com/mostpopular/story/Poacher-Convicted-Of-Killing-Trophy-Deer/GqlQTMQ57E2xBma1ZY7Jsg.cspxThe guy even put his lie on Facebook, I wonder how many of the other trophys he has are illegal, www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1298319511776
