Doug Now that’s a Hunters Chili. 2-cloves of garlic, that kicks the flavor up a notch to my liking. 2 1/2 Tbsps chili powder, now that will rev up the engine and could cause an after-burner to kick in the next day. ;D Now I’ve never added ground cumin to chili and this I got to try. Believe my taste buds are going to experience a new twist in making Chili. Ed

Sounds like you may like your chili as hot as I do... Be careful and don't start a fire(Ha-Ha), Hope you enjoy this as much as I do Doug I do savor certain hot foods like smoked pepperoni, sausages, chili and chicken wings. But alas over time the body’s resiliency and tolerance drops as we age and have had to tone it down a little. But every so often I have to try the level of hotter than what I have adjusted too. Usually with Suicide Buffalo Chicken Wings. When a plate full of wings is set before you that starts the eyes watering and sinuses running before even starting to consume them I know I will have a “Houston we have Lift-Off” moment the next day. ;D Not everyone likes hot food of course and when others are also going to consume a particular dish some consideration for others have to be taken into account. So here I’m limited with adding Hot Sauce to my own dish. But now and again I do prepare a dish all to myself with extra spicing. This will be one of them. Ed

I know where you are coming from, about getting older and not being able to eat the things you really enjoy, but that's when you crave them the most, or at least this is true for me, what we put our body thru for a little satisfaction. But it's good for a little while then sets in he regrets....so pal I say go for it, if you are going out for heart-burn city do it right

I always add the cumin to my chili also.....It helps give a unique flavor that really improves the chili.
