Any experienced information would be appreciated.
I am looking into electronic calls. I would like to have a pig, turkey, and hare distress calls. I would like a Fox Pro, except I can't see jumping right into this at 5 or 6 Bills.

The current issue of Outdoor Life recommended a short list (I can't remember it) with the Fox Pro at the top.

I would guess that at that price it is at the top.
I do not read OL much anymore. I canceled my subscription several years ago when they had an article on skills an outdoorsman needed. The part about learning to drink urine, the proper time of day to collect urine to drink and the rosy cheeks I would get drinking urine was too much for me. I have decided I will never be a complete outdoorsman by that criteria. Then I took it another step and took the issue and subscription out back to see if it was the correct time of day. The magazine failed as a collection container.

Youp50, After seeing and shooting Coyotes every year while Bow hunting Whitetails for years I decided to start targeting Coyotes this year after deer season was over. I too wanted to buy an E-call but thought that 4 - 5 bills was a lot for my budget just to get a call, yet I was less than confident in my ability to master mouth calls well enough to fool the wily old coyote. The option I pursued and am very satisfied with is a home made E-call made from the Cass Creek Big Horn Speaker $40.00 www.cabelas.com/prod-1/0034360228622a.shtmlIt has a 50 ft long cord to separate me from the sound source. It is available at many places on the internet if you don't have a Cabelas near you. So far I have been very pleased with the quality of sound, the volume and battery life. To connect to that I use an MP3 player that I spent another $30.00 dollars on. To acquire your sounds...there are free sounds all over the internet but one site in particular I would recommend for a collection of quality sounds of various types and uses. www.mscustomcalls.com/MP3.htmlYou can also transfer sounds from CD's to MP3 format and play them as well - your call. It takes a little bit of work...but with a discount of $350.00 or so and the flexibility of customizing the call to use ANY sounds that you desire...in my opinion it is an obvious choice. But then again...I tend to be a bit of a control freak. Another classic I-net site for predator hunting & home made E-calls is Varmint Al's . Well worth a visit! www.varmintal.com/coy5-20.htmHope this helps! Good hunting, Brigg

Yeah - if you already have an MP3 player - you should be able to build yourself a caller for under $100.
I did mine - and it doesn't look very pretty but it calls the coyotes in just the same.

I have a Johnny Stewart and it works great. I have to try and figure out how I can control it from a distance. Got the cheap model and it doesn't have remote. I know people that have taken an old ghetto blaster and used it. Most tapes are cassettes and that works in the blaster. Lots of those around now that every kids wants a CD players or an MP3 player.

I use my Ipaq and a good amplified speaker. It is a multi tool for me as I can also check the photo on my game camera, If It is a real boring day I could even watch a movie on it. Just kidding!!
