At this point in Q's career, taking down older kids is probably more fun then smacking a coyote. Can't blame him. Soon he'll be wrestling with girls...that usually puts a good cy-bosh on normal hunting schedules. I might add that the latter activity will trump the former in most cases I've known about.
Get ready for the real rut at any moment.

"Q" is going to Semi-State! That dance is going to happen tonight! Wish us luck! Wilms, Unfortunatley it just started with a girl he is smitten with... She is going to be banned tonight and state if he makes it! H ;He needs to concentrate...

It is the Individual regional you must win to advance to HS state.

Told'ya! Good luck. Girls......they mess with concentration at that age. Probably has himself a real hottie being a champion wrestler. Better let him get his fill in-between matches. ;D ;D Being young is fun....girls come first!!

Conference>sectional>regional>State. Gotcha, any rate it is good to see parents busting their buttons over the accomplishments of their offspring.

As well as he is doing and only a freshman, I would imagine wrestling colleges will start showing interest if they have not done so already.

I apologize for not updating this! He got put out by 2 lousy points. He had no one to blame but himself. To little to late.Later he said after my behind chewing ;D,he told me he was being very conservative. You can not do that when everything is on the line. The final score was 3-1.The disappointing thing to me was I knew he was more than capable of whuppin this seniors but with ease.He realizes all to well that he screwed up.Next year......

remind him that defensive wrestlers are always trying to prevent points, and offensive wrestlers are always trying to score.....This is not basketball....defense does not win matches....aggresive, no prisoners, take your head off and hand it to you, nothing to loose offense does....good luck this new school year...Dave

Seems like we used to lose points if we weren't aggressive enough, but that could have been Golden Gloves. Been waaaayyy too many years back.
