After ten years or so of trial and error, my signature recipe: Cut deer steaks or chops into approx. 1 X 2" pieces Marinade in plastic bag, plastic or glass bowl with this mix for 2-3 days stirring twice or more daily: 1 1/2 cups vegetable oil 1/2 cup worchestershire sauce 3/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar 1 tbsp salt Wrap pieces in 1/3 strip of thin bacon (don't rinse off marinade), hold with toothpick Sprinkle with your favorite meat seasoning - I use Montreal Steak seasoning Smoke with apple or cherry wood, or bake slowly at 225-250 until bacon fat is well cooked Bogard all you can because they will go fast!

The Montreal steak seasoning is a good one. I use it a lot on everything that is grilled
