Myself, I think they taste a lot more like owl. We get them along the Tennessee River some here in East Tennessee with a few nesting pairs nowadays.

They taste a whole lot like pelicans Some people will eat anything. We don't get the bald ones here on the farm, but occasionally we see the Goldens and lots of Redtail hawks. One day this fall while hunting, sitting in my stand, a redtail flew in and perched on a limb 6' in front of me. Beautiful site. Again I didn't have a camera. Wife gave me "swell" for not carrying one. Thanks for sharing ozark,

I thought of this post this afternoon. I've seen eagles several times in the Winter near the Tennessee River which is about 20 miles from the house. This afternoon while taking the dog for a walk I saw my first over our house soaring in circles and looking for a meal. I first did a double take but had plenty of time to look and assure myself I wasn't seeing things. Wish they'd take up nesting on the ridge behind the house
