Does any one have any experience with this bullet? and what gun would be the better buy for accuracy and over all good make? I like the savage guns but I dont know anyone that has shot this gun. Thanks Seth

My choice was Tikka
MOA out of the box with factory ammo. Bolt action is so smooth you often pull back the bolt to see if a round has been chambered.
Factory ammo is pricey so unless you reload they cost.

My friends have BAR STALKERS in 300WSM and love them. I just set in one with 150gr. Nosler Ballistic Tips FEDERAL loads and shot under an inch. They are devasting on deer but are costly at around $50 per box,

I strongly seccond ETs excellent advice on the T3. I researched the he!! out of which should be my next rifle purchase and the rifle being as light as is practicle was my primary concern second only to accuracy, then lastly be able to handel any animal I would ever wnat to hunt.
A SST/SYN T3 in 300WSM was as good as I could come up with after looking at all rifles out there under $700. For under $1000 you simply can not beat the T3s big brother the Sakko I think its called the A7?
I have heard nothing but good things about the 300 WSM in terms of accuracy and it does actually equal the 300wm in terms of performance.

As I said above, I have one and really like it. Only draw back is the recoil. It slaps you pretty good. I only feel it on the range though. In the field it's either adrenilin or all the clothes I'm wearing.

If you were considering spending $700, Remington SPS Stainless is a good choice. It has the new X-Pro trigger which is good and supercell recoil pad which is awesome. I just bought one in 257 WBY for $600 new and I am very satisfied. Another plus is that it is easy accurizing a Remington 700 since aftermarket gadgets are readily available if needed

Nothing wrong with either of those guns. Either choice will be good. The only other thing you may consider is the availability and cost penalty of the WSM shells. My experience has been that the advertised FPS is overrated and will barely keep up with the Win Mag. Not much dif but not an equal. If you reload no big deal, but just about everyone carries the win mag if you buy factory loads.

If I got another 300wsm it would be a tikka or browning without the boss. With the boss it takes a lot of time and shots to work up a load. But if you're only shooting factory bullets just dial it in and shoot.I have shot 2 sakos,2 tikkas and one rem sps in 300wsm and all of them shoot. Have had a 270wsm in a browning stalker,a win classic. The browning was easy to work up loads for it had no boss on it,the win classic when I first got it it wouldn't shoot took it to one gun smith to bed and square the action when I got it back it still wouldn't shoot so took it to another gun smith that builds bench rifles and he told me that the crown was bad by just looking at it,he fixed it next time at the range it shot very well. Below is a couple loads for the 300wsm if anyone wants to try them, the one on the left is a buddies load that I tried in my rifle it shoots lights out in his tikka. The two on the right is with a 150 gr sst,If you try this one or any load in fact start out lower and work up,if you notice the speed is slower with the higher charge. This could mean in my rifle I have went over max pressure or on boarder line.I ended up going with the 68.8 gr load anyhow. Haven't shot a 300wsm in a savage but was talking to a young fellow at the gun shop and he said that he had one and it kicked the daylights out of him when he shot it,but have heard that they are very accurate.

It is the adjustable brake that browning use on their rifles. They explain it and have charts on their web site.
