Dave,
Right now I use a 3 piece brass ram-rod. Do you think the aluminum ram-rod Mac builds would be soft enough to use on the inside of the Pac-Nor barrel without damaging the lands or does it need a rod guide when using it ?

I just ordered mine and I have to say Mac defiantly is not doing this to make any money.....he is one of the most helpful guys that I have had the pleasure of doing business with....Thanks Mac... I won't need to post a performance review of his Ramrod I already know how it's gonna preform, keep in mind I just ordered mine, but after talking to Mac your gonna get a great practical piece of equipment you will wonder why no one else thought of before now...once again thanks Mac...Dave ;D
p.s. sagittarius, call mac he can answer that question and would be glad to do it.....

Great looking ram-rod, Dave. Thanks for your opinion on the lands. I heard aluminum is fairly hard compared to brass but it's still softer than steel so it should be OK. Lost a section of my brass rod last Saturday so I need a new rod and Mack's looks better than any I ever saw !

Spent some time at the range and took my new Macs Black Beefy Ramrod with to test it out....all I can say is it was a good 42.00 dollars spent I felt little if any flex in the rod as I was loading 300 gr. BO's with HBCR sabots....solid feel at the bottom and over all I'm very pleased with my purchace...if your looking for a rod to pack in or compact for at the range you gotta call mac...Heck I may order another and give it to my son as a Christmas gift....great job Mac & thanks, Dave

I tried one out on Sunday and I can't say enough good things about them I don't have a ramrod on my rifle so use a take down rod in the field. The quality is great, and the speed of assembly makes my screw together take down obsolete for loading. It came with a palm protector and a great carry pouch Since it is bungee style quick assembly model it can't be used for swabbing the bore but I don't do that between field shots anyway! If Mac wants a link I will be glad to add one as this is a great product edge.

I received mine recently. Very nice! Mine came with a jag and a few goodies! Mac was a very nice person to talk to.Seems to be a real honest man and was a pleasure doing buisness with. I hated carrying my ramrod to and from stand. This should be the cat's meow! Thanks! Rex

I know Mac reads the board, but he's not real big on posting or e-mail. I would give him a call if you need to contact him. Mac (757-493-7670)
