When sin entered the world all of mankind took on mortal and corruptable bodies. Sinfullness of the world not only has an adverse affect on our bodies but also on all of nature. Without the ever present grace of God I am sure the earth would look much like hell.
The good news is that God has not relinquished control and our prayers are effective and powerful. I will pray for your father Kevin, and also for you. These are straining times for you. God has given His people the gift of Christian love so that we may pray and also show the Jesus that lives within to all that will embrace His love. Seek those who truly love Christ during these times.

Kevin,
Just reading your story brings back thoughts about losing my mom and dad. This is a very tuff time for you and your family but be vigilant. Trust that God will keep your spirit uplifted and that he will comfort you, your wife, kids and siblings.
God is great and he will take care of all needs. If you have any doubts about your Dad's standings with the Lord, go to him and ask him to repeat the good confession . Doing this will give you peace of mind, knowing that God will listen and know your burden as well as your Dad's.
Kevin, I don't know you and you don't know me, but we do share something in common, we Love God and know that Jesus Christ died for all of us, including youre Dad.
Kevin, If you are ever in the Indianpolis area feel free to stop by my home to visit. My door is always open to a Christian brother and his family.

Kevin, I'm glad your news is good. Prayer has already helped, don't you think. The loss of a parent is traumatic and my heart goes out to you. I hope and pray that your father will be by your side for many more years. Steve
