Ok guys I have one of Lukes breech plugs for a 45 cal and Im using federal 209 primers but after 2 rounds I find the primer is very difficult to seat , cannt remember what size he told me to open it up to for more of a generic fit . thanks

.242 reamer works well with federal 209a primer.
Many just polish to fit

Yes, I've used a spent primer and valve lapping compound and my cordless to polish the primer pocket. Just go slooooow.

A 3/16" hard dowel rod wrapped with a 1/4" wide by 3/4" long piece of 600 grit wet or dry sand paper. Chucked in a SLOW drill. Put a few drops of Kroil on it. Go slow and keep checking for proper fit and depth. That us the way I do ALL my 209 plugs. I have never had a sealing problem. Or sticky primers. Good Luck Drop
