Putting together a light load for a grand daughter. MZ is 2276fps and I'm now wondering if the coppers will open up at much distance at all. Will the petals open up at 100 yards?

I hope this does not turn out to be a double post by me. I have used that bullet at an initial speed of about 2450 fps. No troubles from 35 to 135 yards. Not sure what difference my 175 fps of extra speed makes.

I was wondering the same thing last fall so I messaged Barnes and According to Barnes tech support the 195 will perform down to 1100fps.

I was wondering the same thing last fall so I messaged Barnes and According to Barnes tech support the 195 will perform down to 1100fps. Good to know. Thanks, guys! I got a little concerned about speed and bumped it up 300fps, with very little more perceived recoil. Should be good to go. Knowing that there would be no response using the actual weight of these 150gr BX's, I substituted 195BX in the title. The 150's never made it to open market. Prior to sizing full sized bullets and getting away from sabots, I got three deer with them and they worked great.
