I have a new Scout conversion with the His breechplug and have been trying different bullets and all with the H4198 powder, The gun was doing ok but not what I was looking for. Well today I loaded up a bunch of charge tubes with 45 gr. of Imr4227 and sized some fury 250gr. star tip crimp nosed bullets to go out and resight in my scope after changing scope rings. After two reticle adjusting shots I fired a three shot group at 104 yds. that was a cloverleaf. This was my first attempt with a different powder . Thats all I had time for as it was getting late and cold out there, but I am really excited about what the gun showed me this evening. I don't know what fps I was getting nor pressure for that load but it kicked like a hunting load. I have the His module plug in there and also used wool wads. kip

Kip, That’s outstanding performance. The Furys really obturate quickly and have been very accurate for me. I’m interested in your comparison with saboted 200 SSTs.

Steve, I'm pretty excited about the step up in accuracy and also am very interested in saboted results too. I have those 200sst 40 cal bullets you sent me and some light blue sabots and wool wads ready to go. the wind is back up again today, seems like it never quits here lately.
