Anyone here try this bullet yet? I just got a pack of 50 to size and try in my Scout conversion. They were made for the paramount rifle I heard and with a .015 jacket and a yellow polymer ball point. I had no problem sizing them down to .4505 or so with one pass through my die. The price was right too at $44 for 50 bullets. I think they are bonded and made for upper end blackhorn speeds. kip

They are very accurate. Some Paramount owners are shooting them and reporting excellent results.

Do you suppose Encore rated loads of H4198 would be too much for these? I know last time I ordered Fury’s he said to avoid the black powder bullets if I was shooting smokeless but I don’t know if that’s any smokeless or just the heavy hitters. I shoot 56-58 gr. H4198.

56grain of 4198 will be just slightly faster than upper end Paramount BH209 loads. Really close to the same fps. Should be in the 2350fps range.

I tried them the other day in the scout at 59gr 4198 with the His system and a veggie .060 wad and the accuracy wasn't as good as the 275gr bullets at 104 yds. but I am still in the process of seeing what this fairly new gun likes. I'm gonna try them at 56.3 gr. next time out. I also ordered some fury star tip bullets in the regular crimped nose style in the 275 and 300 gr. heck maybe 55 or 56 gr with the 265's would be perfect we will see. they are a beautiful bullet and the price is great. I love me some fury's

I shoot 62 gr. of IMR4198 with Fury 275 bullets out of my conversion. My gun shoots excellent with that load. I would have never believed how well these CVA conversions shoot without seeing it.

I hear ya Jackson, after I tightened up the forearm stock on my scout conversion it is really shooting as good as I can hold it. I am going back through the bullets now and have had great results with some that didn't do well before the forestock tightening. I need to try these .453's again. Have been having great luck with the fury .40 x 250 regular crimp nosed star tip in a sabot and wool wad, here lately.
