As days begin to lengthen and temps starting warming, Springs arrival is around the corner. Swans are returning as I heard them in the distance and just need to see the Robins appear for confirmation. This is starting to generate an urge for getting back to range and resume testing with my SML. There isn’t a lot to prep for that activity resuming and now is more of a waiting game for weather conditions.
Two more outings should cover my testing with different BP configurations using 4227. Then trying to find an optimum load for 250gr bullet with standard Savage BP and a modified BP. But that is only the first phase of powder burn rate testing and load development. Also need to try 2 new items. Lots to look forward too and keep my shooting skills up to par.
For the record I’m not trying to promote or start a revival of the 50 for it had its moment. But still provide a respectful continuation in the SML community that it deserves. It has my respect for all that it provided me with over the years. Now it’s also become a learning tool.

I'm getting anxious to see your results! You're not the only one getting anxious, chuckle. I've never felt such enthusiasm for a project since when I first started shooting my 10ML-II. Ed
