I helped a buddy bolt on a 10ml-II barrel on a cf savage using Luke’s plug and bolt head.
Happened to have some 300 grain .505 inch bullets laying there so I pushed one through the barrel. Great fit and once it was through it would load back in quite well.
It got me wondering if we could run 20 or so pills through and then powder coat them to add a bit of loading resistance.
Anyone try this?

Hopefully someone can help you but most have used sabots with .45 bullets or jacketed bullets formed in a die for the .50 if they could not find a jacketed that "just" fit. Just not many out there I would guess using full lead so unsure how much help you will be able to get.
Just wondering if you have in effect swagged it to the land and grooves couldn't one then just shoot it that way. Wouldn't relatively soft lead obturate or expand upon ignition and seal the bore? Would lead fouling be a concern pretty quickly? Would BlackHorn guys shooting lead be able to give some thoughts? Definitely get with someone with experience with this, I have none with lead. Only my thoughts and with lead they would not be worth much. Would on this site below this under Modern Inlines be able to provide more info?

Interesting.
I just did some in hardball that come out at 21 bhn. No expansion will be expected but a half inch hole is pretty excellent on its own.

We are going to run some tests! I do shoot lead in a few different calibers.
