I am thinking that a Favorite Recipes thread that only has recipes might work. Any thoughts? Perhaps have a separate thread for each kind of game?
IMO the threads should be recipes only, no replies or questions!

IMO replies or questions should be permitted. I personally like to associate the recipes with some forum member. Example if it is a Coon recipe from tar12. I would understand that it came from a genuine coonhunter. Either way is fine with me because I am not much of a cook. Ozark

IMO replies or questions should be permitted. SNIP My reasoning for NOT having feedback is then it won't be a list of recipes. My thought is that you would have a long list of recipes in one thread without having to wade through a lot of extra stuff. For instance, in the Venison thread you would see ( as an example): Meatloaf( recipe ) Spicy Sausage( recipe ) Meatloaf( recipe ) Mexican Stuffed Shells( recipe ) Jerky( recipe ) ETC. On the other hand, if we allow replies then you get this identical list of recipes: Meatloaf( recipe ) Question Reply Spicy Sausage( recipe ) Question Reply Question Reply MEATLOAF Question MEATLOAF Reply NEW Meatloaf( NEW recipe ) Mexican Stuffed Shells( recipe ) Question Reply Question Reply Jerky( recipe ) NEW MEATLOAF Question NEW MEATLOAF Reply IMO, it would be a jumbled mess as time went by. edge.

I have given this some more thought, and I guess I don't like my idea altogether After time it will become a jumbled mess! edge.

Here's where I am coming from: When people posted their favorite load for hunting last season with the Sav. ML, I was able to do a copy paste of the whole thing, from the thread into Word, and then delete the jokes and stories, and then print the condensed version, and then post it for anyone else wishing to print it. I look forward to doing the same for recipes, since it would be too much for the memory. But replies can give a little different take on a recipe I think. Just MO. Pete

Perhaps you are on the right track. There is a thread started that asks anyone eat what they shoot?' The thread is interesting and has some humor intertwined along with some recipes. I think that the best way to do this may be to have each different recipe started as a new thread. That way if I find Ben's possum pie recipe something I want to try. The next time I come upon a fresh possum I could look down the list of recipes and find it. Rather than have to look through every thread for the right way to cook it. It might spoil before I found the recipe.

Actually I liked the way it was done on the old board. Fellows would post their recipe. Some would ask question to clarify procedures or ingredients. They they'd post on how it turn out for them, good or bad. All are listed by subject and recipes weren't hard to find, IMO>
