I picked up a nice No 4 Mk 1 dated 1949 it's been restocked dated 1952. I suspect it was arsenal refurbished for the Korean War (no FTR markings), but never issued. Does anyone have pet loads for the 303 British cartridge? I'd like to stay with 174 grain bullets though any load would be appreciated.

Any pictures, I'd like to see what she looks like? Sorry no help on loads, but I'd probably stick to slower powders to keep pressure down. How many lands and grooves, military field rifles tended to skrimp I assume fewer grooves increases pressure, but I'd like to hear anyones theories! edge.

Edge, interesting article. I would pick up a new bolt head if I was having case head separations -- an inexpensive and easy fix. Yes, I plan on powders like IMR 4895, IMR 4064, or Varget at less than Sierra book max or about 80% case capacity from QL if I don't receive recommendations here. Expecting velocities 2400 - 2500 fps and 35 - 40K psi. She is a 2 groove. How do we post pics I had photobucket troubles the last time I tried to post? I can email if you wish to see her.
