Ok, I have the Hornady and Barnes manuals, both use Large Pistol Primers. Most of my brass is Blazer and use Small Pistol Primers. Would it be ok to use the data but use small primers? How would I go about this?

Steep learning curve, I found some Winchester brass that uses Large Pistol Primers. Loaded up 50 rounds, messed up 3. Seated the bullet too deep on the first and I crushed 2 cases with the bullet being crooked. I may need to adjust my expansion die. Question light crimp or hard crimp?

I prefer taper crimp on semi auto ammo. I do roll crimp on heavy revolver stuff. You don't need a lot just to make sure the bullets don't set back during recoil.

If I start at the minimum load what exactly am I looking for as far as pressure signs on a semi auto?

Same flatten primers.
Taper crimp is good but for match barrels I prefer factory crimp/full resize

I have a factory crimp die, instructions say to adjust 1/2 turn for light crimp and a whole turn for a heavy crimp. That's why I ask.

I crimp mine to just fit the chamber. I looked at mine One is just less than 1/2, second is just over 1/2 and the third is almost full turn.
The pistols are a Nighthawk, STI and Les Baer

I finally got to try my hand loads. All fired and cycled perfectly, I consider that a plus. I went by my Hornady manual load is 8.9 gr. Power Pistol recoil is a tad bit more than normal loads and you can hear a difference. Rounds look good any reason for concern?
