I actually think their Icon rifle would make an awesome smokeless muzzleloader with its integral base mount and other great features ! I'm surprised Thompson hasn't thought of doing it since Muzzleloading has always been their bread & butter ! Most likely, they have thought of it ! I think, I will contact them and offer a few suggestions.

SMI is not big on sabotless from the discussions Kerry and I had with them.

When I was talking with Dan at SMI trying to decide if I wanted to go .50 saboted or .45 sabotless, he told me if I told them I was going to shoot the .45 sabotless they wouldn't build it.

Another option would be bergara barrels. They make ML barrels for encores, from the same steel as their centerfires. Relatively cheap, too. You'd probably need to get a new BP made for it, and you'd be limited to 1:28 twist, but it should work. www.bergarabarrels.com/tc-rifle-barrels.html
