I just finished loading my first rounds. 243 Winchester, 80 gr. TTSX, Rem 9 1/2 primer. Loaded 5 rounds each 39,40,41,42 and 43 gr. RE17 headed to range this weekend will see which is best. 2.61 COAL according to my Barnes manual.

I use RL17 with a Barnes 110gr.TTSX in my .270 Winchester Remington 700 . Great velocity and great accuracy . Best of luck with your testing . Chris

Ended up not making it, wife and I came down with back colds. Hopefully get out tomorrow.

Tested the 39 and 40 grain loads today. The 39 gave me a 1 1/2 inch group at 100 yds. 40's could be covered by a quarter. Still need to test the 41,42 and 43's.

43 grain load turned out to be the most accurate. Three shots under a dime. Loaded up 35 more and zeroed gun at 100. Wife practiced and is ready for next weekend. Which will be her first ever hunt.
