Anyone have a 300 Norma? Curious as to what you are seeing/hearing for barrel life? i've been wanting to build one of these for few years and still deciding on action.

Pierce has built a couple for the same customer reports are absolutely tack drivers. Barrel life I'm sure like any magnum not great. I've seen rumors on the Internet that Berger is coming out with a 30 caliber 245 grain. I'm going to build one for my tube but I'm going wait and see if 245gr is coming out I think it will need a faster twist rate that heavy weight bullet.

I feel like that is a super specialized gun that you need to buy several barrels at a time for because you will need them if you shoot it much. I would wager 1K or less rounds and you are going to rebarrel. My .300WM at work usually don't make it to 2K and you are getting a lot more with .300 Norma. The 230gn Berger turns the 300 WIN and 300 Wby into whole new animals.

Agreed with comment on barrel. Mine is a tackdriver and a barrel burner. I enjoy it though.
Sometimes i wish i wouldve stuck with the standard and went with the 300 win but i like ro be different. Are you loading 230's in ur 300 win KP?
Custom throat or factory?

I don't load for the 300 WIN MAG. I use them at work and we shoot 190gn SMK. We had a 210gn variant but it tended to have pressure problems. If I shoot the 300 WIN MAG I most certainly would shoot 230gn bullets.
