Here are the targets I shot today with my .243 Remington 700 with a 28" Brux barrel 1-8 twist shooting 87 VLM Berger hunting bullets and IMR-4831 powder. This is the first time I really shot testing loads Same bullet but several different powders Best groups were with 4831 and 4350 Here a picture of my rifle

Nice shooting. Is it necessary to have that long of a barrel with a .243?

Thanks really love a 243 that is all I ever hunted with for years yes this barrel is a bit long but I hunt corn fields and have a very good rest I drive to the field blind so not a problem
